Your 5-Star Russian Manicure In Newport Beach
Your feet should be treated as carefully as your hands – probably more so.
Using the e-file technique from a Russian manicure, we apply the same level of precision to your feet as we do your hands. No water basins, no generic pumice stones, no skimping on callus treatment. Just meticulous dry cuticle work, careful callus e-file treatment, professional e-file shaping, and gel polish that adheres to perfectly prepped nails.
You’re left with smooth heels, defined cuticle lines, and a pedicure that lasts 3-4 weeks – not just a few days.

How Russian Pedicure Works
Here’s why you should choose a Russian pedicure instead of a traditional pedicure
Every Russian pedicure at Nata Nails follows the same precise steps to create the healthiest and most beautiful feet possible.
Step 1 – Inspection Your technician will assess the state of your toenails, cuticles, calluses, and heel skin. This will tell us which e-file bits we’ll need to use to treat your specific concerns.
Step 2 – Toenail Care We will properly shape your toenails using safe e-file techniques. Proper toenail shaping is key – many people incorrectly shape their own toenails which can cause ingrown toenails. We do it right so you don’t have to!
Step 3 – Cuticle Care Using fine diamond and carbide e-file bits, we will carefully clean the area around each toenail. Only dead (pterygium) skin is removed – gently and precisely. This leaves your cuticles smooth with a clear definition between skin and nail.
Step 4 – Callus Treatment Using proper e-file bits for the job, we carefully reduce any calluses on the backs of your heels, balls of your feet and toe joints. The technique we use carefully removes layers of hard dead skin without irritation (e-file bits are far more gentle than pumice stone gritters). You’ll end up with silky smooth feet.
Step 5 – Gel Polish Application Once your nail plates are clean and dry, we apply gel polish. Using proper dehydration techniques before applying gel polish gives you a gel polish application that lasts weeks.
Step 6 – Hydrating Finish Finally, we hydrate each foot with rich oils and creams. Your toes will never have felt softer!
Why Dry Pedicure Is Better for Your Feet
Traditional pedicure treatments involve soaking your feet in a bath. Sounds great – but it’s a disaster.
The soaking problem. Nail salons are breeding grounds for bacteria and fungus – and your foot baths are one of the biggest culprits. Each wash between treatments can leave behind living organisms.
The softening trap. Soaking your feet in a foot bath causes callused areas to soften. But it also softens healthy skin areas and makes your nails susceptible to lifting.
The Russian pedicure solution. No soaking needed! We remove callused areas with precision e-file bits on dry skin. Your gel polish application will not be lifted at the first sign of water and your callus treatments will last weeks – not just days.
Russian Pedicure vs. Regular Pedicure
| Russian Pedicure | Traditional Pedicure | |
| Water | Completely dry — no soaking | Foot soak in shared basin |
| Cuticle method | E-file precision on dry skin | Metal pusher after soaking |
| Callus removal | Controlled e-file reduction, layer by layer | Pumice stone or coarse file on wet skin |
| Infection risk | Minimal — no water, sterile tools | Higher — basins, shared tools |
| Polish longevity | 3–4 weeks | 1–2 weeks |
| Heel smoothness | Long-lasting, even result | Quick softening that wears off fast |
| Nail health | Promotes healthy growth | Soaking weakens nail plate |
Who is Russian Pedicure For?
You want a pedicure that lasts. If your toe nail polish starts to chip within a week or two, then you’re in the right place.
You care about hygiene. No shared foot baths, no shared tools. Every tool at Nata Nails is individually sterilized and opened right in front of you.
You have stubborn calluses that just won’t quit. Dry callus reduction with e-file is a game changing technique for tackling thickened skin areas that other methods just can’t seem to touch.
You want smooth, sandal ready feet all year round. Newport Beach summers are known for flip flops and sandals, and with a Russian pedicure, you can enjoy smooth, polished feet all year round, not just on the day of your appointment.
You’re an existing Russian manicure client. If you love what the e-file technique does for your fingers, you’ll love it for your toes too.
FAQ
1How long does a Russian pedicure take?
Approximately 60-90 minutes. More time is spent on cuticle care and callus treatment than in a standard pedicure, which is exactly why the results last so much longer.
2Does e-file callus removal hurt?
No! The e-file carefully removes the dead skin layer by layer with full control. You will feel light vibrations and warmth – not pain! This technique is actually gentler than using a callus blade or coarse file.
3How often should I come for a Russian pedicure?
Every 3-5 weeks depending on how quickly your calluses build up and how fast your toe nails grow! Most clients come in once a month.
4Can I get a Russian pedicure without gel polish?
Yes! Some of our clients prefer a natural finish so they can add top coat or simply buff their toes to shine. The foot care is still the same – polish is just optional!
5I have thick or discolored toe nails. Can Russian pedicure help?
Russian pedicure can help with mildly thickened toe nails through proper filing techniques. However, if your toe nails are severely thickened, discolored, or even ingrown, we recommend that you book our Medical Pedicure with a certified podologist.
6What’s the difference between Russian pedicure and medical pedicure?
Russian pedicure is a cosmetic treatment that focuses on beauty, precision cuticle care, smoothing calluses, and shaping toe nails. A Medical Pedicure is a clinical treatment that diagnoses and treats foot related conditions like fungal infections, ingrown toe nails, diabetic foot concerns etc. If you’re unsure which to book, we’ll help you decide at your appointment!
